Innovative research

Innovative research for the further development of our technology

Research

At ifibr®, we focus on continuous further development. We have initiated extensive research work to gain an even better understanding of the potential of our fibre technology.

We are extremely proud to have won the renowned University of Pisa for a high-precision nano-measurement.

Research design

The research work was headed by Prof. Dr Mauro Tonelli, Associate Professor of Physics at the University of Pisa and at CNR-NANO, the Institute of Nanosciences of the National Research Council. Prof.

Dr Tonelli is a leading expert in his field and his laboratory for new materials enjoys an international reputation, particularly with regard to research in the field of laser applications.

Research design

A pioneering experiment was carried out in this laboratory at ifibr®:
Any ‘warm’ body emits infrared radiation, and measuring this emission is one of the most effective ways to study materials. In our experiment, ifibr® and an identical placebo product were heated to 37°C to detect differences in radiation.

This method makes it possible to clearly record and graphically visualise the special properties of ifibr® compared to conventional products. Prof Dr Tonelli and his team have carried out an extensive analysis of ifibr®. To ensure maximum precision, the experiment was repeated several times.
